By enrolling in the Adult Driver Education Program, you agree to the following Terms of Service:
Operating a motor vehicle is an inherently high-risk activity that may result in serious bodily injury, death, property damage, or legal liability.
By enrolling, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume the risks associated with behind-the-wheel instruction.
Mid Columbia Auto Academy is not responsible for incidents arising from:
The inherent risks of driving
Traffic conditions beyond instructor control
Student error or delayed reaction
Failure to follow instruction
This does not waive liability for gross negligence as defined under Oregon law.
The program includes:
30 hours of classroom instruction
6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction
Driving progression is competency-based, not time-based.
Advancement to city, highway, or freeway driving is not guaranteed and requires demonstrated proficiency in:
Vehicle control
Lane management
Traffic awareness
Hazard recognition
Safe decision-making
Safety determines progression.
Students are responsible for:
Scheduling drive sessions
Attending confirmed appointments
Communicating cancellations in advance
Missed sessions may be forfeited.
Repeated cancellations, extended inactivity, or failure to participate consistently may result in dismissal.
Mid Columbia Auto Academy reserves sole discretion to terminate instruction if a student:
Demonstrates unsafe behavior
Fails to maintain basic vehicle control
Disregards instructor direction
Presents risk to instructor or public
Dismissal for safety reasons may occur at any time.
Safety determinations are final.
All fees are non-refundable after completion of the first behind-the-wheel session.
No refunds will be issued for:
Missed appointments
Scheduling conflicts
Failure to progress
Dismissal for safety concerns
Inactivity
Refund eligibility prior to the first drive session is determined at the Academy’s discretion.
Certificates of Completion are issued only after:
Completion of required classroom hours
Completion of required BTW instruction
Demonstration of minimum competency standards
Completion does not guarantee DMV test passage or license issuance.
Students are responsible for scheduling their own drive test with the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services (DMV) or an authorized third-party tester.
Any dispute arising from enrollment or participation shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted in Umatilla County, Oregon.
Venue for any permitted court action shall be Umatilla County, Oregon.
By completing enrollment, you confirm that you:

Acknowledge the high-risk nature of driver training
Accept the refund policy
Agree to instructor authority regarding safety decisions
